I had the honor and privilege to be aboard the “Barge”, the guest of Joe Ruffiini, the man who “saved” this piece of history, and has restored it to it’s present beautiful, original condition. THANK YOU JOE!!! Joe and Lisa, the captain and navigator respectively, cruised myself and niece Laura Hallam and I was mesmerized by the experience. Being a retired chief petty officer after 20 years service, I felt a connection with the dignitaries who also cruised aboard the barge. I felt extremely honored.
