Meet the Crew


Joe Ruffini

PLANK OWNER / CHIEF ENGINEER / SAFETY OFFICER

Joe is recognized by the Coast Guard as Boat Crew Certified as well as a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He has been volunteering his services since 2012 and has participated in many of the Coast Guard training programs. Joe has trained in operations & safety procedures including look out, communications, advanced navigation, man over board drills, search and rescue, fire fighting, damage control, towing and basic first aid. He is very knowledgeable in the boating “rules of the road” and the local rivers and bays.

Dave Fayder

CAPTAIN

The Naval War College has Captain Dave at the helm. He entered the United States Navy in 1983 after high school, staying until 1986 and did 2 years in the active Reserves. He received his captain's license in 2010.

David has been driving boats since 1987 and has owned and driven many makes and models. His knowledge and expertise of nautical protocol make him the most qualified to captain such a historic vessel.

Lisa Terrill

PLANK OWNER / NAVIGATION OFFICER

Lisa is a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and recognized by the Coast Guard as Boat Crew Certified. She has been volunteering her services since 2012 and has participated in many of the training programs. Lisa has trained in safety procedures including man over board drills, fire fighting, damage control and towing. She is very knowledgeable in the boating “rules of the road” and the local rivers and bays.
